| Making a Lasting Impression on a Lost World |

How do we show our appreciation and respect for missionaries who have unselfishly given so much of themselves? One way is to provide them a permanent place in our Missions Memory Plaza, located in our new World Missions Center. Our World Missions Center is now officially opened, thanks to the generous donations of a number of partners. It is the home of our School of Missions, International Division, World Translation Center, Latin American Bible Institute and our new Hall of Missions History. While the interior building is finished and occupied by faculty and staff, the exterior and grounds will be completed in phase two. This phase will include a beautiful Missions Memory Plaza at the front of the facility. Great missionaries in our brotherhood will be honored, having their names and mission fields engraved in capstones atop a decorative wall or in a special section of our brick walkway. |

| Opening Chapel, Aug. 9th |

Each August at the opening chapel of our new school year we recognize a congregation that exemplifies the values and mission which we teach. This year our leadership team has unanimously chosen the West Olive Church of Christ as that congregation. We have invited their preacher, Ray Miller, to speak at our opening chapel service on Monday, August 9th, 2010, at 8:30 AM. We hope that others from West Olive will join Ray for this special occasion. Following chapel there will be a reception in to honor this congregation. All alumni and friends are welcomed to this event as we begin another year of ministry training. We look forward to our time together. |
