Minister Needed For Loving Congregation in Michigan's Beautiful Upper Peninsula

Marquette church of Christ

The Marquette church of Christ has been a voice for the gospel across the Upper Peninsual of Michigan since 1962. Our current minister will be retiring in May and plans to continue living in the area, worshipping with the church and helping the next minister. We are looking to pass the torch to a young man who is well grounded in the faith and is full of the love of Christ. It is our hope and prayer to find a family to come and join our family and help grow this church together. We are a congregation of around 50 members with a strong core group that are willing to work for the Lord and His church. We have a very nice, clean updated facility that will seat around 100. Our minister is a co-host on the weekly television program Let The Bible Speak www.letthebiblespeak.net which has a viewership of some 7,000 each Sunday morning on the local NBC affiliate TV6. There is the potential for the next minister to also be involved in this ministry.
Marquette is a beautiful city of around 25,000 residents located on the shores of Lake Superior. It is a college town with the Northern Michigan University campus just blocks away. The area is famous for outdoor activities in the vast wilderness regions. Mountain biking, cross country skiing, hiking, boating, swimming, hunting and fishing, snow shoeing, ice climbing and snowmobiling are just a few of the attractions that are drawing many young professionals to the area which is growing immensely.
The work is not easy in the north country and we do have long winters but for someone who is willing to work hard for the Lord and His church and embrace the U.P. with its wonderful people this is an outstanding mission field with much opportunity for growth.
If you feel the Lord moving you toward the north country to reach the lost and edify the saved please send us your resume' along with your financial requirements, sermon videos/recordings and some information about yourself/family so we can get to know you better. May God richly bless you as you seek His will for your life and ministry. Grace and Peace.
