This full-time immediately available ministerial position represents a uniquely attractive opportunity to join a healthy, active, rooted church family and “hit the ground running” with a united eldership and ministerial team with a vision of bringing the Message to our Panama City/Bay County, Florida Community. We are committed to the commands and examples of a Matthew 28 and Acts 2 directed church, and daily remind ourselves that “sin is the problem, and Jesus is the answer.”
To that end, we prayerfully seek the addition of a Youth and Family Minister who will primarily be responsible for encouraging the spiritual growth of the children and youth of the congregation and helping them to grow into effective disciples of Christ integrated into the Jenks Ave congregation. Duties will include:
Teach youth Bible classes as appropriate within the scope of the Bible class plan.
Plan and coordinate youth activities and trips that promote discipleship and fellowship.
Assist Lads to Leaders deacons in executing the L2L program, particularly with middle and high school age. Coordinate Good Samaritan L2L activities.
Coordinate Camp Wiregrass Participation, Vacation Bible School and Kingdom Kids.
Minister to, counsel, encourage, visit members of the congregation primarily youth and families with children.
Visit members in the hospital, nursing homes or bedridden at home.
Prepare and Preach sermons occasionally.
Prepare and present devotionals prior to class on Wednesday evenings.
Conduct Bible studies with seekers helping them to become Christians.
Support the vision and direction of the shepherds in duties which may be assigned by the eldership or the lead minister.
