| A New Involvement in Australia |
|
![]() MSOBS, under the oversight of the Macquarie church of Christ, has trained men and women in Australia for thirty years but needed and wanted revitalization. The new staff will be extremely helpful in this process. Sunset will provide curriculum, teachers as needed, financial resources, and guidance. Macquarie already possesses a fine library and will continue to provide facilities. Ted Paull, the present director, will move into the role of Academic Dean, Craig Peters ('87) will serve as Administrative Dean and Jeremy Desjarlais ('05) will serve as Dean of Students. The International Studies Division of SIBI has a vision of training able spokespersons of the Word in their own country, their own language, their own culture, their own standard of living and their own environment. Not only is this 10 times more cost effective but also discourages long-term dependence upon foreign support. Students are encouraged to stay and serve in their own country. Such schools utilize local talent and resources and increase local evangelism and church planting. It is, by far, the most efficient and effective strategy for fulfilling Christ's Great Commission. ![]() Ted Paull ![]() Craig Peters ![]() Jeremy Desjarlais |
