Job Title: Evangelistic Minister

Summary of Job: To work with the Holmes Road Church of Christ congregation and to be an evangelist in the Lansing area while demonstrating a commitment to continued spiritual growth and education. Responsibilities include teaching, preaching, evangelism, and working as a team member with other ministry leaders of the congregation.

Primary Responsibilities: In connection with the ministry responsibilities: 1. Prepare and deliver spiritually-based lessons to the congregation at specified assembly times. 2. Teach Bible classes as needed on Sunday and/or Wednesday. 3. Provide Bible studies to individuals. 4. Visit members of the congregation, especially those in the hospital, nursing homes and homebound. 5. Contact current or former members who may not be in regular attendance and encourage their return to faithful service. 6. Respond to members request for spiritual guidance. 7. Participate in worship planning process. 8. Participate in special meetings, retreats and services as appropriate. 9. Participate in funeral planning and services as requested. 10. Perform marriage ceremonies and pre-marital counseling as requested. 11. Attend and participate in scheduled elders and ministry leaders meetings. 12. Responsible for other duties as determined by the elders.
Experience/Education: 1. A heart of a preacher and compassionate drive to reach out to others. 2. Full-time preaching experience. 3. Applicants with or without degrees will be considered.

Compensation: Salary will be commensurate with experience, education, qualifications, and cost of living in the Greater Lansing area. Provides one week paid vacation for the first year, and two weeks annually beginning in the second year, in addition to paid holidays. This position also provides health insurance, along with reimbursement of gas/mileage expenses.

We are a congregation of approximately 50 and currently we do not have elders..
